When the transmission belt is running normally, the belt speed should not be lower than 95% of the roller speed. If the friction between the roller and the transmission belt is not enough, the transmission belt is prone to slipping. The common reasons for insufficient friction between the roller and the transmission belt are: insufficient tension, load start, insufficient friction coefficient of the surface of the roller, etc. Among them, the reasons for insufficient tension include: insufficient tension stroke, insufficient counterweight weight, too long transmission belt, etc.; The reasons for the insufficient friction coefficient of the roller surface are: the rubber covering on the roller surface wears too much, the belt body is too wet or sticky with lubricating oil, and the belt body surface is sticky with materials (easy to be swelled by water).

Second, the solution to the belt slippage

1. Slipping of the transmission belt of the heavy hammer tensioning belt conveyor The belt conveyor using the heavy hammer tensioning device can add counterweight to solve the belt slipping until the belt does not slip. But it should not be added too much, so as not to make the belt bear unnecessary excessive tension and reduce the service life of the belt.

2. Slipping of the screw tensioning or hydraulic tensioning belt conveyor When the belt conveyor using spiral tensioning or hydraulic tensioning is slipping, the tensioning stroke can be adjusted to increase the tension force. However, sometimes the tensioning stroke is not enough, and the belt is permanently deformed. At this time, a section of the belt can be cut off and vulcanized again.

3. When using nylon belt or EP, the tensioning stroke is required to be longer. When the best transmission belt stroke is not enough, it can be solved by re-vulcanization or increasing the tensioning stroke.
